Increasing efficiency and security through automation

The new heavy-duty robot for automated copper billet handing reduces the physical workload for employees in the Hamburg continuous casting plant while creating a closed system that simultaneously improves safety and security. It can process an impressive 20 t of billets per hour and lift up to 1,000 kg.
